Paul O’Brien

O’Brien, Paul F. of Hingham, formerly of Abington and Dorchester, died February 9, 2016.

Paul adored his family, especially his beloved wife of over 60 years, Helen. Being married to her was his greatest joy in life and they were inseparable. His devotion was remarkable. He had a strong work ethic and always put others before himself. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading newspapers and watching all of the Boston sports teams, especially the Red Sox. Paul’s faith was very important to him and was a devout Catholic and very involved with the church. He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul in Abington and volunteered for the food pantry at St. Bridget’s Church. He was a loyal and deeply loved man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Beloved husband of Helen (Lynch) O’Brien. Devoted father of Kathleen Tracy and her husband Brian of CA, Claire Dempsey and her husband Tom of Hingham, Kevin O’Brien and his wife Sandy of Portsmouth, NH, and Ellen Hewins and her husband Paul of Hingham.
