Paul G. Logan

Paul G. Logan, of Braintree, entered Eternal Life on Feb. 24, 2015, at the age of 86. 

He was the beloved husband of Mary J. (Feeney) Logan, for 65 years, and cherished father of 5 children:  Paul T. Logan and his wife Jeanne, of Weymouth; Maureen E. Logan-Zemina and her husband Michael, of Plymouth; Brian E. Logan and his wife Lauren, of Pembroke; Sheila A. McCarthy and her husband Robert, of Braintree; and Maryann Lohan, of Hanover.  He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  Devoted brother of Evelyn Connolly and Blanche Burns, both of South Boston, and Estelle Gregor of Rockland, and also the late Helen Geno of Rockland, and the late Walter Logan of Vero Beach, FL.

Born in Boston, Paul graduated from South Boston High School, and was a veteran of the US Navy, serving in WWII and the Korean War.  Paul and Mary began their family in Dorchester before building their home in Braintree, in 1968, and became devoted members of Sacred Heart Parish in Weymouth Landing.  He worked for the Boston Public Schools before a 30-year career as a First Class Stationary Engineer for Boston Edison/Boston Thermal Energy.  Paul was the founder and president of the Steam Engineering Institute, and was widely known as an exceptional teacher in the field of heating and power generation.

Paul was a man who always put his family first.  He loved to travel with Mary, and they often brought children and grandchildren to memorable destinations, especially to Ireland and Puerto Rico.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10:30 AM Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 11:30 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
