Canavan, Patricia A. (LaChance) of Weymouth, passed away on April 3, 2020. Patricia was born in Roxbury and grew up in the Houghs Neck section of Quincy. She worked for many years as a medical coding specialist for the Dorchester House health center and New England Medical Center. Patricia’s grandchildren were the light of her life and she enjoyed spending time with her family. She also liked to go to Bingo, do puzzles and even tried her hand at baking character cakes for a few years.

Patricia was the daughter of the late Irving and Marie LaChance. Loving mother of Earl Cogswell and his wife Deborah of Scituate, Laura Crowley and her husband Sean of Whitman, James Cogswell of Brockton, and Kimberly Kennedy of Quincy. Beloved wife of the late Leo R Canavan and longtime partner of Ronald Doetsch. Dear sister of Stephen LaChance, Paul LaChance, Marie LaChance Marrone, and the late Robert, Richard, David, Ronald, and John. Proud Nans to her grandchildren Jennifer, Sarah, Christopher, Jessica, Amanda, Glenn, Taylor, Patrick, Courtney and great-grandchildren Gabriella, Penelope, Ryan, Evan, Thomas, Killian, Joselyn and two great-granddaughters due this year. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
