Norman J. Dwyer, Sr.

Dwyer, Norman J., Sr. of Quincy, died September 18, 2018.

Norm was born in Everett on February 11, 1931 and lived there until he went into the service from 1952-1956 in the United States Air Force. He met his wife Barbara in 1956 and they were married in 1961, living in Dorchester and raising their 3 children before moving to Quincy. Norm worked in a Dental Laboratory from 1956-1962, then for Pilgrim Laundry until 1985, and lastly as a Court Officer for the Suffolk Superior Court until he retired in 2006. He was a 50 year member of John P. McKeon Post #146 in Dorchester and cherished the friendships he made there over the years. Norm enjoyed golf, bowling, and playing pool. He was an upbeat man with a great sense of humor and loved his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Beloved husband of Barbara (Griffin) Dwyer of Quincy. Loving father of Norman Dwyer Jr. of Weymouth, Michael Dwyer, QFD and his wife Gina of North Quincy, and Theresa Cetina and her husband Lou of Chelsea. Cherished grandfather of Joseph Dwyer, USAF, Kelsie Dwyer, Keira Cetina, and the late Evan Dwyer. Loving brother of the late Edward Noftle and Chuck Cann. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A private burial will be held at a later date.
