Noel Flaherty of Quincy, died unexpectedly on May 25, 2023. A longtime resident of Quincy, Noel was originally from Boyle, Rosscommon Ireland. He was son of the late Patrick and Kathleen (Boylan) Flaherty. Loving and devoted brother of Marion Flaherty, Annie Jo O’Leary and Doreen Chase all of Quincy, Mae O’Leary of Somerville, Rosaleen Flaherty, Bredge Flaherty and Margaret Whalen all of Ireland. His was brother of the late Robert, Elizabeth, Patricia and Patrick Flaherty.  Noel was also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Noel was very proud of his Irish heritage. He had a strong faith and was a devout Catholic. Noel was a true gentleman in every sense of the meaning, a gentle soul. Noel had a great sense of humor.   He worked at Macy’s – formerly Jordan Marsh for more than 42 years. Noel had a strong work ethic. His life was devoted to his family, he cherished his sisters and they are grateful for all the blessings he brought into their lives. He will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to have known him. May he rest in peace. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visitation on Wednesday, June 7 from 8:30-9:30 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM.

Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Boston.
