Nicholas Joseph White

Nicholas White, 81, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2022 with his family by his side at the Ruth McLain Hospice Home in Braintree.

Nick was born July 8, 1940 in Medford to Joseph and Alice White who preceded him in death.

He grew up in Somerville with his brother, John McGrath and sister, Alice Curley. As a teen, he loved baseball, paddle tennis (City Champion), and bowling.

He graduated from Bentley College in 1967, which was preceded by a 3-year enlistment in the Air Force.  In his career, Nick worked for the Federal Government with the General Accounting Office, where he was known for his auditing and investigative skills. He had many important responsibilities and traveled extensively around the world to deal with necessary assignments.

He was a loving husband, a wonderful father and a kind human being.

He is survived by his beloved wife Martha; his children from a previous marriage, son, Robert Francis White of Weymouth, his daughters, Lorie October of Marshfield and Christine White of Somerville; and his 5 grandchildren, Benjamin October, Nicole October, Brandon White, Alexandria White, and Jessica Alyse White.

Funeral services for Nick will be conducted at later date at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home in Weymouth with burial to follow at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, MA.
