Ngan Hung Lui

Lui Ngan Hung, resident of Quincy, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Friday, November 10, 2017 at South Shore hospital in Weymouth at the age of 86. She was born in China in 1931 to the late Yu Foon Lui and Mei Ho. She was predeceased by her loving husband Cheong Lau.

 

Ngan hung lived part of her life in Mainland China but moved south to Hong Kong in search of a better life in late 1950. She worked hard in various jobs while raising 4 children with Cheong Lau. After her husband passed away in 2008, she moved to America in hopes for a more comfortable life and to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Here in America, she enjoyed dim sum, family dinners, and holiday celebrations with her family.

Wife of the late Cheong Lau. Daughter of the late Yu Foon Lui and Mei Ho. Beloved mother of Maggie Wong of Braintree, Wai Choi Lau and his wife Wendy of Quincy, Ya Ting Lau and her husband Grant LoBrano of Brockton, Cindy Lau and her husband Paul Gerrish of Quincy. Grandmother of Eric Wong, Anthony and Terence Lau, and Kelly Gerrish.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 6-9 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday at 8-9:30AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. Cremation will follow.
