O’Connell, Nancy M. of E. Weymouth, passed away at home surrounded by her family September 23, 2016. 

Beloved mother of Rita Powers and her husband John Shambo of Randolph and Daniel Powers and his wife Shannon of Weymouth.  Cherished grandmother of Savannah, D.J. and Laci.  Dear sister of Rita Johns of Brookfield, MA, Robert O’Connell of Newvineyard, ME, Dorothy Thurston and her husband Joseph of Attleboro and FL, Richard O’Connell of Spencer, MA and the late Thomas O’Connell.  

Nancy was a graduate of South Boston High School. She worked for many years as a film inspector for the National Film Company. She enjoyed crocheting, watching movies and listening to country music.  Nancy was an animal lover who had many pets over the years.  Her passion was spending time with her children and grandchildren and enjoying making forever memories throughout the years. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 9:30AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
