Nancy A. Kovalski

Nancy A. (Rowe) Kovalski a longtime Quincy resident, formerly of South Boston, died peacefully surrounded by her family on  May 19, 2017, she was 76.

The beloved wife of 51 years to  Stanley J. Kovalski, Jr. of Quincy.  Loving mother of Barbara A. Kovalski of Quincy, Stanley J. Kovalski, III and his wife Nicole of Pembroke, Robert W. Kovalski and his wife Deanna of Whitman. She was the cherished Nana of 10, Lauren, Ryan, Thomas, Mikaylin, Joseph, Robert Jr., Zachary, Aiden Jack and Quinn. Daughter of the late Leonard Rowe and Mary Rowe. Loving sister of Leonard Rowe of Quincy, Barbara Sullivan and her husband Michael of Scituate, Carol Rowe of Quincy, Janet Matthews and her husband James of Weymouth, Virginia Miller-Staffier and her husband Derek of Avon and the late Joanne Connolly. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Nancy was an avid reader, she was involved with the Knights of Columbus in Abington.  Nancy was a wife, mother and Nana, all those titles she held dearly, loved beyond words. She worked for Carney Hospital as a switchboard operator for 28 years. She was known as the voice of Carney. She enjoyed the simple things and life and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren, they were the pride and joy in her life. Nancy was a true gift to all those who knew her. She will be sadly missed.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, 757 Hancock Street, Quincy on Tuesday May 30 at 10:30.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Nancy may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital, 220 E 42nd St, New York, NY 10017.
