Murphy, Michael P. of Quincy, unexpectedly passed away July 9, 2018 surrounded by his family.

Beloved son of Mary Ellen Murphy of Quincy and Paul Murphy of Whitman. Favorite brother of Kristen Chaput of Quincy. Cherished grandson to the late Mary and Norman (Grampy) Chaput and William (Papa) and Dorothy (Nana) Murphy. Adored nephew to Teresa and Randy, Kathy, Jimmy, Rich and Betty, Paul and Donna, Nancy, Billy, Denise and Doug. Awesome cousin of Christina, Jessica, Dean, Eric, Mary, Christopher and Mary Ann, Nicole and Jim, Colin and Kyle. Also survived by a wonderful crew of friends.

Michael was a lifelong resident of Quincy. He received his Bachelors degree from UMass Dartmouth. #430. Michael had a passion for longboarding and was a member of the Boston LB. He was a car enthusiast; founder of Carma Crew, member of Masstuning and South Shore Tuning. Michael loved all people and always had kind things to say about everyone he met. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, outgoing personality, and the kindness he showed to all. Michael’s other passion was to be around his friends and family. He will be sadly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy .
