Callahan, Michael J. of Quincy, died August 28, 2016.  

Mike devoted his life to caring for others; his family, neighborhood children, a stranger on the street, or anyone in need.  He would take neighborhood children under his wing providing life guidance, teaching sports, or on occasion how to deal with a bully or two. Mike was a self educated man enjoying success with computer programming. He enjoyed reading, painting, and spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Beloved husband of 44 years to Terry Callahan of Quincy. Loving father of Michael F. Callahan and his wife Kate of Sagamore Beach, Amy Callahan of Quincy, Kevin Callahan and his wife Tanya of TX, and James Callahan of Quincy.  Cherished Papa of Kayla, Michael, Sequoia, Grace, Kiarra, Koi, Jonah, and the late Andrew. Devoted son of Thomas Callahan of South Boston and the late Nancy Callahan. Caring brother of Patty, Kathy, Mary, Wally Callahan, and the late Tommy Callahan. Best friend of Mike Lewis. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 11 AM-1 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday at 1 PM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy.
