Kost, Matthew Thomas, 44, of Hingham, was born November 16, 1971 in Cooperstown, New York and died May 19, 2016. 

Matthew attended Guilderland High School where he was a competitive swimmer.  He graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a BA in Sociology. Matthew’s life revolved around his loving family and friends.  He adored his two young children and wife, as well as his own extended family.  He enjoyed many vacations at their summer cottage in Muskoka, Ontario, especially golfing, and boating and fishing on Lake Muskoka.  He also enjoyed time with his family on Cape Cod.  He was a loyal friend, avid golfer and sports enthusiast.  Matt worked for Fidelity Investments for many years ending as a business analyst. He then continued his career at Forrester Research and as an independent consultant.  He will be remembered as a loving, kind, and true family man. 

Beloved husband of Janel E. Kost of Hingham.  Devoted father of Ryan and Hayley Kost.  Cherished son of Frank & Anne Kost, of NY and Christine & Sergio Amitrano, of NY.  Loving brother of Nicole Ehrie of MA, Christopher Amitrano of CA, Lindsay Kost of NY, Kevin Kost of CA, and predeceased by his sister Jocelyn Kost.  Also survived by several nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), Hingham.  A funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 AM in Old Ship Church, 90 Main Street, Hingham.
