Matthew J. Pettograsso of Weymouth, died September 3, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.

He most recently worked at Appliance One in Hanover where he made many friends. In his early years Matt played Weymouth HS football, as a continued fan he attended the Thanksgiving football game annually. He never skipped a Patriots game or the chance to make someone laugh. He loved holiday festivities, hosting cookouts and croquet tournaments. Always one to be outside, Matt enjoyed yard work, gardening and camping. He was a lovable man who was fiercely devoted to his family. He will be dearly missed.

Beloved husband of Margaret (Downey) Pettograsso of Weymouth. Devoted father of Carla and Amanda Pettograsso of Weymouth. Loving brother of Joan Mastrogiovanni and her husband Fred of Pittsfield, Michael Pettograsso and his wife Helga of Plymouth and Mary Blanchard and her husband Ronald of Halifax. Matt is survived by many nieces, nephews, in laws and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square).

Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Matthew Pettograsso to benefit the care of his daughter, Carla. Donations can be forwarded and made payable to Amanda Pettograsso, 40 Harding Ave, Weymouth MA 02188.
