Mariano, Mary (Strungis) of Quincy, died January 20, 2018.

Mary was born in Athol and raised in Dorchester. She later settled in Quincy where she lived for over 60 years. She enjoyed sewing, spending time with her many lifelong girlfriends and being with family. She was a wonderful story teller who shared her love of life with all who knew her.

Mary was a very strong woman and was a  two time cancer survivor. She will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Beloved wife for 59 years of Remo P. Mariano of Quincy. Cherished mother of Michael Mariano and his wife Ann of Franklin and Stephen Mariano and his wife Beverly of Westford. Devoted “Babci” to Alison, Matthew, Emily, Nicholas, Taylor and Lewis. Sister of the late William Strungis, Stephanie Rudnicki, Francis Strungis and Walter Strungis. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
