Mary Margaret Alessi

Alessi, Mary Margaret (Fitzpatrick) of Quincy, died August 4, 2013. Beloved daughter of the late William and Mary (McDougall) Fitzpatrick. Loving mother of Lynette Taylor and her husband Gregory of Cohassett, Patrick Alessi of Quincy, & step mother to Paul Alessi of Weymouth.  Married 30 years to Paul Alessi of Quincy.  Cherished grandmother of Patrick John Alessi, Kenzie May Taylor, & Amelia & Alexis Alessi. Dear sister of Brenda Sompolski of Illinois,  William & Brian Fitzpatrick both of Colorado.  

Mary Margaret grew up in South Boston before moving to Quincy many years ago.  She was a member of the McDonough Post and Cady Marine Post.  She was passionate about Dance and Yoga and was a Certified Reiki Master.  After being diagnosed with Scleroderma over 15 years ago she became an Advocate to spread the word of this disease.  She was dedicated and involved in working closely with research teams to help find a cure. Mary Margaret had a outgoing free spirit, with a contagious smile, and was most of all proud of her family. She will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Memory of Mary Margaret may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Drive Danvers, MA 01923.
