Mary “Louise” Cox

Of Quincy, formerly of Weymouth, Mary “Louise” (Goodhue) Cox, best friend and wife to James W Cox for 51 years, went to be with loved ones on December 10, 2017.

She always will be the loving mother of Elaine M Twitchell, the late James “Jidge” Cox and the best Nana to Samantha Twitchell, all of Quincy. She shares a special bond with her sisters Phyllis J Goodhue of Quincy and Elaine M Foley (wife of Michael) of Hingham and is survived by her brother William Goodhue (husband of Judy) of CA.  She was the beloved daughter of the late Daniel and Lillian (Devine) Goodhue and was predeceased by her brothers Daniel and Harry “Buddy” Goodhue and her son-in-law Robert Twitchell.  She enjoyed being an aunt to her many nieces and nephews, especially her two newest grand nephews, and was the hopeful future mother-in-law to Shawn Kennedy.

Louise loved being with her family, her books, lounging by the pool, the smell of lilacs, a good breakfast and Christmas.  Louise had fond memories of working for Royal Insurance, being active in the Camp Fire Girls organization and a member of the Weymouth Woman’s Club.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service held at Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Friday at 10 AM. Visiting hours will be Thursday 4-7 PM. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Louise may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org.
