Wilkinson, Mary K. (Ruane) of North Weymouth formerly of Jamaica Plain, died May 15, 2023. She was 87.

Born in County Mayo, Ireland in 1936, she was the daughter of Patrick and Sarah (Hyland) Ruane. Mary graduated from Boston State College with a Bachelor’s degree in Business. She worked at U-Mass Boston achieving the title of senior accountant and then tried her hand in small business. Later in life she worked at Filene’s/Macy’s Department Store where she was known for providing outstanding service to customers. Mary was a devout Catholic, enjoyed gardening, and was an avid reader. Above all else, Mary had an extraordinary relationship with her daughter, Deborah Wilkinson of North Weymouth that she cherished.

Additionally, Mary leaves, a sister Josephine Mulligan and her husband Patrick of Mayo Ireland as well as a sister in-law Kay Wilkinson of Dedham. Mary had many nieces and nephews: Sinead McKeigue  Eilish Corley, Niall Mulligan (all of Ireland); Lynn Burke, Albert Wilkinson, Michael Wilkinson, and Jeffrey Wilkinson, Lynne Anderson and Patrick Sweeney of MA and Thomas Wilkinson of FL.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday from 10AM-10:30AM at St. Jerome Church. Funeral Mass will start at 10:30 AM in St. Jerome Church. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury. Donations in Mary’s name may be made to the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy.
