Mary Cecelia “Cece” Beglane (Clay) of North Weymouth, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by family on November 11, 2017, at the age of 80.

Cece was born and raised in Cambridge, MA, and was the nurturing and loving caregiver for her family. She worked for the Weymouth Housing Authority for many years and as a housekeeper and kindergarten teacher’s aid at St. Jerome Church and St. Jerome school in North Weymouth. Cece was a people person and she loved conversation and spending time with others especially over good food. She also enjoyed baking, reading and history.

She was the beloved wife of Francis Beglane for 48 years, and they were reunited in heaven for their 56th wedding anniversary on November 12th. She leaves her Son Christopher C. Beglane and his wife Mary of Clinton, daughter Kathleen O. Beglane of East Weymouth, son Robert D. Beglane of Weymouth, and son Paul F. Beglane and his wife Claudia of West Palm Beach, FL.  Sister of Leo Clay of Chelsea and the late Fran McMillan. Aunt of Wendy McMillan of Viriginia. Devoted “Nana” of Andrew, Robbie, Faith, Sam, Tommy, Julia and great grandson Carson. Dearest childhood friend of Joan Bennett of Burlington.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 1 PM. Donations in memory of Cecelia may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 85 Astor Ave., #2, Norwood, MA 02062.
