Mario DiPietro of Weymouth, passed away April 23, 2017 at the age of 93.

Mario was born and raised in Italy where he studied art and design. He lived in Venezuela, Dorchester and Quincy before settling in Weymouth. He was a former president and part owner of Celco Construction for over 40 years making many friends over the years.  He enjoyed traveling, wine making, gardening, carpentry and spending time with his beloved grandchildren.  Known for his smile and strong handshake he will be dearly missed.

Beloved husband of the late Lucia (Ventresca) DiPietro. Devoted father of Rose DiPietro and her husband Ken Lippens of Weymouth, Mario DiPietro and his wife Sherry of Easley, SC and Lou DiPietro and his wife Tracy of Hanover. Cherished Nonno of Danielle, Nick, Arielle, Gabrielle, Luke and Dominic. Loving brother of Maria Mocchetti and her late husband Delio of Italy, Edilia DiStefano and her late husband Giulio of Quincy, Joe DiPietro and his wife Connie of Pembroke, Imelda Tiberi and her husband Ivan of Quincy and Ilva Volpe and her husband Pietro of Braintree. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.   

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. South Shore Hospital).

Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM.

Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
