Marilyn Gaynor

Gaynor, Marilyn E. (Lawler) of Weymouth, died October 4, 2017.

Marilyn grew up in Dorchester, later moving to Weymouth. She attended Girls Trade School in Boston, a graduate of 1956. Marilyn was a Shop Steward in the Banquet Department of the Westin Hotel of Copley Place for over 30 years. Marilyn and her husband James owned Kay’s Restaurant in Jackson Square and worked in the catering business. An avid Red Sox fan, Marilyn also liked to read and enjoyed listening to country music.

Loving wife of 51 years to the late James M. Gaynor. Beloved mother of John J. Gaynor and his wife Tina Maxwell Gaynor of Norton, Michael K. Gaynor of Westminster and the late Michelle Gaynor. Dear sister of the late Gertrude Foley and Judy Grasselli. Cherished grandmother of Cameron James Joseph Gaynor and Kellie-Ann Maxwell. Daughter of the late John and Helen Lawler. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
