Marilyn E. Murray

Marilyn E. (Santacroce) Murray 88, of South Weymouth, passed away February 28, 2015 surrounded by her loving family at Harbor House in Hingham following a long illness.

She was the loving daughter of the late Dewey and Helen (Brickley) Santacroce. Beloved wife for 65 wonderful years to Henry P. Murray, Jr. Loving mother of Marilyn Garofalo and her husband Joseph of Middleboro, Cathy DiTullio and her husband Vincent of Hanover, Richard Murray and his wife Anne (Boren) of Rockland and Michelle Evans and her husband Mark of Meredith, NH and Ft. Myers, FL, formerly of Norwell. Cherished grandmother of John Haskell, Lyne Haskell, Mark Haskell, Vincent DiTullio, Matthew DiTullio, Gregory DiTullio, Stephanie Henry, Eileen Moody and Cameron Evans. She also leaves 10 great grandchildren. Devoted sister of Dewey Santacroce and his wife Claire of Vernon, CT. Loving sister-in-law of Mary Ellen (Murray) Hurley and her husband David of Sarasota, FL. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Born in Boston, Marilyn grew up in East Weymouth and graduated from Sacred Heart High School, Weymouth and Regis College, class of 1948. Marilyn was a former elementary school teacher in Weymouth. She was an active member of St. Francis Xavier Parish and member of the Weymouth Catholic Club. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the healthcare professionals at Harbor House Nursing and Rehab Center who treated her during her illness and comforted Marilyn over the years.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM.
