Marguerite T.  Flavin, popular Quincy real estate broker, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2017.

Survived by her sister, Marilyn Colman and her husband Richard of Osterville and her brothers, Rev. James Flavin, O.M.I., of Tewksbury, and Richard of Quincy. Beloved aunt of Elizabeth MacDonald and her husband John of Redding, CT, Catherine Solari and her husband Matthew of Brooklyn, NY, Richard Colman, Jr. and his wife, Monique, Of San Francisco, CA, Patrick Colman and his wife, Julia, of Brooklyn, NY, Leslie McCarthy and her husband, Richard, of Los Gatos, CA, and Meredith Flavin and her partner, Alan Frank of Carlsbad, Ca. Adored great aunt of Jack, Grace and Kate MacDonald, Frances Colman, Bitsy and Duke McCarthy, and Helena Frank.

She was graduated from the former Jeanne D’Arc Academy in Milton, and Regis College, class of 1955. She also earned a masters degree from Boston University. She served for a year as a lay apostolate in New Mexico, then taught school in Quincy before becoming a program coordinator for developmentally delayed children. She spent five years at her alma mater, Regis, as director of the annual fund and director of development. For more than thirty years she had been a real estate broker in the family business, Flavin & Flavin, in Quincy. She was a former part-time adjunct faculty member at Suffolk University and Bunker Hill Community College. She served on the board of trustees of Aquinas College in Milton, the Quincy Historical Society and the Friends of the Thomas Crane Public Library in Quincy.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial will be private.
