Lucretia Ann Osborne

Lucretia Ann Osborne (Mazzei) of Braintree passed away on June 5, 2023, after a brief illness. Lucretia was born in Boston to the late Lillian and Joseph Mazzei.

Beloved wife of the late Warren W. Osborne (2020). Loving mother of Michael W. Osborne and his wife Yoanna of Clinton and Robert W. Osborne and his wife Daniela of Braintree. Grandmother of Rebecca Burley and her husband, Joseph, Danielle, Katharine, Renee, Garret, Christian and David. Great Grandmother of Everett, Moriah and Caedon. Sister of the late Stephen Mazzei.

She graduated high school from South Boston. Lucretia enjoyed spending time with her family, reading the latest news and keeping apprised of current events. She also enjoyed The Boston Red Sox, and was for many years a fan of Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Her favorite past time was going on cruises with her husband.

Lucretia served her husband and family faithfully over twenty years as Warren rose to the level of Lt. Colonel in the Army, gracefully enduring challenges of being a military wife and raising two boys during her husband’s overseas deployments and long absences.  When the family finally settled in Braintree after living abroad and in other parts of the U.S., she dedicated herself to helping with the family business, W.W. Osborne, Inc., located in Weymouth, MA. Lucretia finished her working life as an Assistant Payroll Coordinator for the Weymouth Public Schools, retiring after nearly two decades. Both Lucretia and Warren expressed their love for their family through their generosity. She carried that tradition on after he passed until now. With so many generational relationships, their impact has been extensive and meaningful.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne on Wednesday at 12:30 PM. In loving memory of Lucretia, please consider a donation to Tunnels to Towers.
