O’Brien, Lorraine M. (Downing) of Quincy, formerly of Dorchester, passed away March 22, 2015. 

Lorraine worked as a telephone operator for many years and volunteered at the Legion of Mary, St. Ann’s School, and   Father Bill’s Place. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, and knitting afghans for everyone. She was a woman of faith and prayed the rosary every day. Her family and friends were most important to her and gave her great joy. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Beloved wife of Paul O’Brien of Quincy. Devoted mother of Bobby O’Brien of Quincy, Kathy Wills and her husband David of Quincy, and MaryAnn Russo and her husband Brian of Randolph. Loving sister of Irene Finnell of Milton and predeceased by 8 siblings. Cherished grandmother of Courtney and Michael Wills, Shannon and Brianna Russo, and Dylan and Jacqueline O’Brien. Also survived by many nieces and nephews 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lorraine may be made to Father Bill’s Place, Development Office, 422 Washington St., Quincy, MA 02169.
