Lauren E. Devine

Lauren Elizabeth Devine, 28, of Hingham, passed away on the morning of Tuesday, July 10, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Lauren’s battle with a brain tumor began in 2006 and she fought and defeated it time and again. A Glioblastoma diagnosis in 2017 was a battle even Lauren could not win.

Lauren is survived by her parents Stephen and Barbara Carroll Devine and her brothers Patrick Devine, wife Kati and daughter Audrey; Kevin Devine and his wife Nicole; and Brian Devine and his wife Gina; her beloved fur baby Cocoa as well as dozens of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and a tight-knit community.

Lauren loved to help things grow and her work as Director of Inspiration at The Magical Moon Farm, bringing love and light to so many children with cancer and showing that you could always laugh in the face of darkness. She was courageous, bright, funny, huge-hearted, and had such a contagious laugh.  In her short time with us here, Lauren had felt pain that most couldn’t handle. She looked fear in the face, year after year, day after day, but yet, she never ran. She never hid. She always found a way to get back up. She was a warrior. She was a beacon of light. She was the lion-hearted.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attended the visiting hours on Monday, July 16  from 4-8pm in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home 21 Emerald St. (Off Central St.) Hingham. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, July 17 in the funeral home  at 9:15am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church at 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Circle of Sisterhood Foundation to help empower girls around the world.
