Kimberly A. DiBona

Kimberly A. DiBona, age 61 of Quincy, MA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Saturday June 25th after a courageous 6-year battle with cancer.

Born in Quincy, MA on March 17, 1961, Kimberly was a devoted daughter, aunt, sister, cousin, and friend. She will be remembered for her kind and motherly nature, her selfless and passionate spirit, and her unconditional love for dogs.

Known to many as Auntie Kim or Mama Kim,  she spent many years bartending and managing the Beachcomber in Quincy. She was loved by everyone who walked through those doors, and truly loved the friendships she made there as well as at the OCYC in Dorchester, MA too. Kim was always thinking of and caring for others, as she was a long-time platelet donor for Boston Childrens Hospital, a donor and supporter of the Italian Home for Children and the Home for Little Wanderers. She was a passionate supporter of our military and especially our police and firefighter community, running as many benefits as possible through her work at the Beachcomber. She loved country music, Al Pacino, and Winnie the Pooh. She was loved by all who knew her.

Kimberly is survived by her mother Lorna DiBona of Braintree, her sister Tracy and husband Jack Hatfield of Whitman, her brother Craig DiBona and wife Rose of Braintree, her brother Wayne DiBona of Quincy, her brother Paul DiBona and girlfriend Erin of Weymouth, her sister Heidi Madden of Quincy, as well as her many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, who loved her so.

She was extremely grateful for the care, support, and guidance from Dr. Adam Lerner, Fran Bevins PA and her entire care team at Boston Medical Center. She felt strongly that she would not have gotten so far without them.
