Kevin DeCourcey

DeCourcey, Kevin of Quincy, passed away peacefully in his sleep, February 15, 2018.

Kevin was born in Roundstone, County Galway, Ireland to the late Martin and Agnes DeCourcey. Kevin attended St. Jarlath’s College and was also a part of the Connemara Gaels football team. As a teenager, Kevin moved to the United States and over the years became a longtime resident of Quincy. For many years Kevin worked as a painter for Costello Painting and in the more recent years worked for Metro Equipment. He loved to watch a good football game and was proud to be a father and grandfather.

Loving father of Marty DeCourcey and Malinda of Rockland, Marybeth Burke and Dave of Hingham and Brian DeCourcey of Dorchester. Dear brother of Mary O’ Donnell (Baby), Anthony and Josephine DeCourcey, Josephine and Roger Scholes, Geraldine and Joseph Clancy, John DeCourcey and Imelda DeCourcey, Barbara and Robert Lewis, Paddy Connolly and predeceased by his siblings; Eithne Connolly and Noel DeCourcey. Cherished Grampa Kevin to Brennan, Aiden, Ava, Sean and Sonia. Former Husband and lifelong friend of Linda Curtis. Kevin is also survived by many nieces and nephews and dear friends the Costello and Sullivan families and the predeceased Linda Schmidtke.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
