Benkart, Kenneth E. of Quincy, died April 28, 2015 at the age of 88. 

Beloved husband of Jane Benkart of Quincy. Beloved father of Lesa Patrice Benkart of Scituate, Darya Cotter and her husband Bob of Easton, Nicola Benkart and her fiancé Michael McGrath of Norton and Peter Gregory Benkart and his wife Maggie of Scituate.  Stepfather of Karen Breseman of Malvern, AR, Michael Dews of Camden, AR, and Mark Dews  of Jefferson, TX. Brother of the late Frank Jr., Charlie and Ray Benkart, Isabella Boon and Margaret Koivu.  Dear uncle of Barbara Von Schroder of Halifax, Nova Scotia and several nieces and nephews.  Kenneth is also lovingly survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Kenneth was a Registered Professional Surveyor who worked for the City of Boston in the engineering department for 40 years before retiring.  He was an avid boater and served in the Coast Guard Auxiliary for many years.  Kenneth served in the Army Air Force during WWII. He also enjoyed playing pool and golfing.  He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.
