Kathryn C. Nelligan

Kathryn C. “Kay” (O’Keefe) Nelligan, of Linden Ponds, Hingham, formerly of Pocasset and West Roxbury, died peacefully at the Pat Roche Hospice House in Hingham surrounded by her loving family on November 5, 2021 at the age of 86. 

Kay cherished her role as a wife, mother and grandmother. Kay was the beloved wife of 62 years to the late Joseph L. Nelligan. Loving mother of Marion Mahony and her husband Jerry of Waban and Pocasset; and Joseph L. Nelligan, Jr. of West Roxbury. Mother in law of Maureen Joyce of West Roxbury. Sister of the late Thomas O’Keefe, Paul O’Keefe, James O’Keefe, Dorothy Brown, and Yolanda Bryant. Proud “Gram” of Meghan, Joey, Katie, MaryKate, and great grandchildren, Jimmy and Nelly. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friend of Bill W.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visitation on Monday 9-10 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street) prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. A private burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne will follow the Mass.
