Kathleen M. Sullivan
Kathleen M. Sullivan, age 71, of Weymouth passed away after a long illness on May 7, 2022, surrounded by her loving and devoted family. Kathy was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Sullivan and sister of the late Jack Sullivan. She is survived by siblings Patricia Sullivan of Weymouth, Janet Sullivan of Weymouth, William Sullivan and his wife Allison of Pembroke, as well as many cousins and friends.
She was a graduate of Weymouth High School’s class of 1969 and Boston State College and used her skills to embark on a career in retail, working as a general manager for the Kmart Corporation and Staples. After her retirement from retail, she began a second career working for the ARC of the South Shore in human resources where she made many friends and was proud to contribute to the important work of this non-profit organization.
Kathy enjoyed reading, cooking, photography, sunny afternoons on the porch, and hosting family get-togethers. Many fond memories were made during annual summer vacations on Cape Cod. She will be missed dearly for the kind and generous person that she was, but also for preparing the favorite Sullivan family recipes.
Services will be private. A celebration of life is planned for this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathy’s memory may be made to the Arc of the South Shore at https://arcsouthshore.org.
