Slyne, Kathleen M. (Manning) of Weymouth passed away peacefully in her home May 9th, surrounded by her family, following a long illness.

Kay grew up in Dorchester and Milton, later settling in Weymouth. She graduated from Boston College in 1967 and earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Kay was a nurse for over 30 years working at Boston City Hospital. Kay lived for her family and also loved bird watching and gardening.

Beloved wife of 35 years to the late Kevin M. Slyne. Cherished mother of Moira Vayda and her husband Dan of Quincy, Dennis Slyne of Weymouth, Colleen Leahy and her husband Joe of Boston and Christine Slyne of Boston. Treasured Nana to Brendan and Mullaney. Loving sister of Anna Mae Lapinski of Coventry, RI, predeceased by her siblings, Mary, Patricia and Thomas. Kay is survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday, May 14th, 4-8PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Relatives and friends are also invited to attend a Celebration of Life service on Monday, May 15th at the funeral home at 9:45AM, followed by a Mass at 10:30AM in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth.
