Joseph M. Cullinan, Jr., age 66 of Weymouth, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on June 23rd after a brief illness.

Born in Boston, he was raised in Weymouth, graduated from Weymouth High School, received his BS in Human Services and MSW from Springfield College. He was employed at the Boston Housing Authority as the Director of the Employee Assistance Program for the City of Boston.  Joe was a past employee of Delta Airlines where he made many life long friends.  Joe traveled extensively, especially to Ireland where he was passionate about his Irish heritage.

Beloved husband of Cecile (Rigollet) Cullinan. Son of the late Marjorie and Joseph M. Cullinan, Sr. Loving brother of Keith Cullinan and wife Joanne of Barnstable Harbor, Midge Nolet and husband Bob of Duxbury, and the late Brian Cullinan. Loving stepfather of Jeannine C. Rigollet of Sagamore Beach and Christian T. Serino  and his wife Dana of Las Vegas, NV. Devoted grandfather of Justin T. Zinzopoulos and the late Amanda Michelle Buturla. Cherished uncle of Kerri Reed and husband Josh of Pembroke, Matthew Cullinan of Brooklyn, NY, Bobby Nolet of Plymouth, Brian Cullinan and wife Amy of Charlotte, NC, and Brianne Nolet of Duxbury.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:45 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM. Burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth. Donations in memory of Joe may be made to Hospice of the South Shore, 30 Reservoir Park Dr., Rockland, MA 02370.
