Joseph A. LeBlanc Sr.

LeBLANC, Joseph A., Sr. 92, of Weymouth, died Thursday July 26, 2018.  Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Alfred H. and Catherine (MacEachern) LeBlanc.  

Beloved husband of the late Josephine A. (Salvo) LeBlanc.  Devoted father of Carol Sawyer and her husband Stephen of Weymouth, Joseph A. LeBlanc Jr. of Weymouth, Alfred C.  LeBlanc and his wife Laura of Canton, Cecilia Centrella and her husband Tony of Quincy, and the late Annette Nowacki and Richard LeBlanc.  Brother of Cecilia LeBlanc, and the late Caroline McPhee.  Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Joseph was a WW II USMC Veteran, earning the Purple Heart.  He was a Massachusetts State Trooper in the Metropolitan District Commission, and also worked for many years as a roofer. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday from 9AM-12PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital), with a funeral service beginning at 11:30AM.  Burial with military honors will be at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:30 PM.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to Joseph’s caregivers; Cheryl, Maxine, Eloise, Barbara, Gene, and Ginny for their kind and compassionate care.
