Keohane Funeral Home

Joseph Harrington of Weymouth, Hingham, and Plymouth passed away on January 8, 2018.

He was born in Somerville on July 4, 1935. A son of the late John and Margaret (Walsh) Harrington. Beloved husband of Maura Monahan for 39 years. Brother of Maureen Burke of South Boston and the late Donald Harrington. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins both here and in Ireland.

He graduated from Boston College Class of ‘57. Although he held different jobs, he went back to Boston College where he retired after 31 years. He was also a volunteer at the JFK Library for many years. He enjoyed reading historical novels, living by the sea and trips to Ireland to visit all the cousins and the homesteads of his mother and father.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday from 2-5 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
