Calvi, Joseph, Jr. 77, of Hingham, died at his home early Sunday morning, April 15, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Cohasset, he was the son of the late Joseph Calvi Sr., and Anna (Taurasi). Beloved husband of Rose M. Calvi (Sestito). Devoted father of Elizabeth Asnes and her husband Steven, and sons Michael J. Calvi of Hingham, and Joseph P. Calvi of Cohasset. Brother of Nancy Jermyn of Sanford, FL. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Joseph was a 1959 graduate of Hingham High School, and was proud owner of Joseph Calvi Jr. & Sons Construction of Hingham. Joseph enjoyed gardening, hunting, and spending winters in Florida with family and friends. He was a member of the Universals Motorcycle Club in Hingham. Above all else, he was a man who was completely devoted to his family, and always made certain that they were well taken care of.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday April 19, 2018 from 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:00 AM on Friday April 20, 2018 prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
