John W. Morgan

John W. Morgan, of Rockland, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, June 27, 2022, at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. He was 79. 

Born in Quincy on August 5, 1942, he was the son of the late Wiley and Irene (Comis) Morgan. John was raised in Quincy, attended local schools, and graduated from Quincy Vocational Technical High School. John worked as a laboratory technician in the consumer testing industry. He enjoyed his work and the relationships he built throughout his life. 

In his spare time, John enjoyed woodworking, driving his mustang, visiting Arizona, riding horses, and listening to classic country music. He was a kind, friendly, generous, and hardworking person. John will be missed by all the lives he touched. 

John was the beloved husband of the late Linda (Peak) Morgan, who died in 2015. The two married in 1968 and together they shared 47 loving years. He was the devoted father of John W. Morgan Jr. and his wife Heather of Rockland and Barbara L. Seay and her husband Lawrence of Brockton. John was the loving grandfather of Vincent Towne of Whitman, Abigail Morgan of Rockland, Veronica Seay of Brockton, and Hannah Seay of Brockton. He was the dear brother of Beverly Carrinci and her husband Louie of Braintree. John is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and his canine companion, Maude.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday, July 7, 2022, 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. 

His funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, July 8, 2022, at 10 AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. 

Services will conclude with interment in Holy Family Cemetery, Rockland.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in John’s name to American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St., Suite 250, Framingham, MA 01701.
