John J. O’Sullivan

John J. O’Sullivan, of Braintree, died July 27, 2015. John grew up in Kilcorney, Ireland and was always proud to visit his homeland. He later lived in Dorchester, where he raised his family, before moving to Braintree. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion Old Dorchester Post 65. For over 40 years, John worked as a long lines troubleshooter for AT&T. He will be remembered by family and friends for his animated phone conversations, kindness and quiet determination.

Beloved husband of 59 years to Kathleen (Cummings) O’Sullivan of Braintree. Devoted father of  Maureen O’Sullivan of Braintree, John “Jack” O’Sullivan and his wife Kim of Milton, David O’Sullivan (BPD) and his wife Erika of E. Bridgewater, James O’Sullivan and his wife Julie of Norwell and Michael O’Sullivan and his wife Michele of Weymouth. Cherished “Grandpa” of 11 grandchildren. Loving brother of Chris O’Brien of Ireland and the late Mary Ring, Margaret Fitzpatrick, and David, Charlie and Tim O’Sullivan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital) 

Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree at 9:30 AM.

Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.
