Keohane Funeral Home

Mr. John J. DeVincentis, Sr. of Weymouth, passed away on November 10, 2022.  

Born in Boston, a son of the late Joseph and Grace (Ford) DeVincentis, he had lived in Somerville for many years before moving to Weymouth. John was a graduate of Somerville High School where he also played for the Somerville Red Sox team as well as the Somerville Football team.

John worked as a Bartender for many years at the former Vin and Eddie’s in Abington. John was also salesman/co owner with his partner Phyllis Higgins of Dyner Graphics in Rockland, MA. John always enjoyed playing sports and also watching all of his local teams. In his spare time he also enjoyed cooking. He will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved him.

Father of John J. DeVincentis, Jr of Somerville, James A. DeVincentis and his wife, Valerie, of Weymouth and Michael V. DeVincentis, and his wife, Sherri, of Abington. Brother of Joyce Certusi of Tewksbury. Grandfather to Samantha, Antonia, Jacqueline, Barbara, Laura, Julia, and Jillian. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday, November 17th, from  4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Cremation will follow.
