John F. Lavigne Jr.

John Francis Lavigne, Jr. 60, of Quincy, died Sunday June 3, 2018.  

Son of the late John F. Lavigne Sr., and Mary (Landers).  Beloved husband of 25 years of Karen J. (Lacey). Devoted father of Joseph M., and Marie R. Lavigne, both of Quincy.  Brother of Diane Cameron and her husband Vincent , and Robert Lavigne all of Quincy.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  

John attended Quincy Voc-Tech High School, and worked for many years for the Trader Joe’s in Hingham, where he was a much-loved member of the staff.  He enjoyed computers, technology, and music.  John was very proud that this past April 8th marked his 20 years of sobriety.  The  biggest focus of John’s  effort was being an advocate and caring for his son Joey.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday from 4-8 PM with a prayer service beginning at 7:30 in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.  Cremation will follow.  

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of John may be made to St. Coletta’s Day School, 85 Washington Street, Braintree, MA 02184.
