John F. Cleary

John F. Cleary of Quincy, died March 21, 2015 at the age of 87.

He was the beloved husand of the late Mary E. (Parker) Cleary. Loving father of Joan Righi and companion Anton Repa, Jeanne D’Arcangelo and husband Frank, all of Quincy, Ann Ackley and husband Brett of Hudson, and Nancy Mullin and husband Damian of Ridgefield, CT. Cherished grandfather of Elizabeth Schubert and husband Keith, Nancy Righi, Laura D’Arcangelo, John D’Arcangelo, Alec Mullin and Drew Mullin. Brother of the late Thomas Cleary and his wife Shirley.

John served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. In 1988, he retired after a 40 year career with AT&T.  John had an impeccable eye for detail which was displayed in his woodworking pieces and home restoration. His family was his greatest joy and he cherished spending time with them.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of John may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., 10 Speen St., 2nd Floor, Framingham, MA 01701.
