John E. “Jack” Harding

Harding, John E. “Jack” of Weymouth, died February 27, 2023. Jack was born in Boston to the late Marie and George Harding. He was a graduate of Braintree High School, Class of 1955. He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran serving in the late 1950’s. Jack worked as a civilian for the Watertown Army Arsenal, Charlestown Naval Shipyard, Natick Army Labs and later retired from the Naval Air Base in South Weymouth. He enjoyed woodworking, photography, helping his children with household projects and spending time with his family, friends and grandchildren.

Beloved husband to the late Marie Ann T. (Orth) Harding. Loving father to John E. Harding, Jr. and his wife Susan of Hanson, Christopher Harding, Sr. of Maine, James R. Harding of Weymouth and Matthew Harding and his wife Joanne of Abington. Grandfather of Stephen, Kaitlyn, Jason, Christopher Jr, Amanda, Kayla and Jessica. Brother of Dorothy, George, Richard and Robert.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Saturday, prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research Foundation, P.O. Box 220 New York, NY 10150.
