John E. Hollander Jr.

Hollander, John E., Jr. of Weymouth, passed away April 4, 2018. John was born in Boston to the late John and Grace Hollander. He was raised in Weymouth and attended Weymouth High School. After graduating from  American International College of Springfield, Lt JG Hollander served his country as a Vietnam Era Navy Veteran experiencing the TeT offensive. In his business career, John was employed by the Foxboro Company and Mija Industries.  He enjoyed reading and studying history and treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren.

 

Beloved husband of 48 years to Jeraldine (Lea) Hollander of Weymouth. Loving father of Joshua Hollander of Weymouth and Jason Hollander and his wife Kristin of Weymouth. Dear brother of Joan Hollander of Cambridge. Proud Papa to Savannah and Austin Hollander. Also survived by many friends, nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 10AM, followed by a burial at The Old North Cemetery, Weymouth. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of John to: The Weymouth Food Pantry, PO Box 890009, East Weymouth, MA 02189 or The Abigail Adams Historical Society, P.O.
