Johanna Marie Kirby

Johanna Marie Kirby, of Quincy, died peacefully at her home on Monday, February 7, 2022. She was 54.  

Born in Boston on May 31, 1967, she was raised in Quincy and attended local schools. Johanna attended North Quincy High School and graduated with the Class of 1986. 

In her spare time, Johanna enjoyed doing genealogy and traveling. Salem, Massachusetts was one of her favorite places to visit with her mom. She and her mom were members of the Braintree Chapter OES #167 for many years. Johanna was also a member of Amaranth in Plymouth, Massachusetts. 

Everyone loved Johanna, and she never had a bad word to say about anyone. She was a kind, loving, generous, and a good-hearted person. Johanna will be missed by all the lives she touched. 

Johanna was the cherished daughter of Elizabeth A. Munnick of Quincy and the late Norman M. Kirby, who died in 2003. She was the dear friend of Michael Denarro, of Quincy. Johanna was the loving niece of Ingrid Murray and her husband Ralph of Maine. She was the dear cousin of Erik D. Murray of Maine and Sonjia Tara Meyers and her husband Christopher, and their daughter Tara Ingrid Josephine Meyers, all of Connecticut. 

A graveside service will be held privately. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Johanna’s name to American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005 or the American Kidney Fund.
