Coogan, Joan P. (Carney) of Arlington, formerly of Somerville, died at Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care in Milton on August 13, 2018 at the age of 77. 

Joan was the wife of the late Edward Coogan. Loving mother of Eric W. Phaneuf of South Weymouth, Julie  Gaffey of Wilmington Edward Phaneuf of Bedford Paul Phaneuf of Bedford, and the late Matthew Phaneuf and his wife Josephine Phaneuf. Sister of Chris Carney of Burlington, Mary Carney of Lexington, Richard Carney of Lexington, and Kathy Mazzola of Westford and the late James Carney. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service on Friday, August 24th at 11 AM in the Story Chapel at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, 580 Mt. Auburn St., Cambridge followed by burial in Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
