Joan M. (Foley) Wilson of Pembroke, former longtime resident of Abington, died peacefully on August 8, 2017.

Joan retired from South Shore Hospital after working in the Pathology Department for over 25 years. She enjoyed the beach, walking, playing golf and spending time with her many dear friends. Joan was her grandchildren’s greatest fan and loved to watch them participate in their many activities. She will be dearly missed.

Beloved wife of the late Robert D. Wilson. Devoted mother of Tracy Becker and her husband Roger of Abington, Robert C. Wilson and his wife Kristy of Pembroke and Eric Wilson and his wife Melissa of Pembroke.Cherished Nana of Maggie, Jace, Tyler, Brennan, Victoria, Laci and Cameron. Loving sister of Carol McGlame and her husband Timothy of South Carolina, Lorraine Quirk and her husband Daniel of Pembroke and Nancy Davis and her husband William of Boston. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 3-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Bridget’s Church, Abington at 10:30 AM. Burial in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Abington.
