Jennie Joann Neumeister

Jennie Joann Neumeister (Blanco), 92, passed away on January 31, 2018 after a period of failing health.

Joann was born and raised in Boston and graduated from South Boston High School. She raised her 5 children in South Boston, Randolph and Rockland. After raising her children, she was the Assistant Director of the Council on Aging in Rockland. She took pride in her home and her cooking, making sure that her family and all who entered her home were well fed. She enjoyed family, shopping, bingo and traveling to casinos.

Ever loving wife of 50 years to the late Frederick “Fritz” Neumeister Jr. Predeceased by her parents Angelo and Rose (Yovino) Blanco, and siblings Angelo Blanco, Salvatore Blanco and Rose Cicciu. Proud and loving mother to Joann Griffin and her husband Robert of Easton, Frederick Neumeister and his wife Joan of Bridgewater, Anthony Neumeister and his wife Amy of Raynham, Robert Neumeister and his wife Sandy of Plympton, and Jennifer Whitcher and her husband Jim of Lake Forest, CA. Cherished Nana to Bobby, Kevin, Eric, Shannon, Cori, Steven, Lauren, Anthony, Danielle, Samantha and Marissa. Adored “Nana Nana” to 14 great grandchildren and “Auntie Jennie” to several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass on Thursday in Holy Family Church, Rockland at 9AM. Burial to follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
