Jennie E. Delmonaco

Jennie Elizabeth (Falletti) Delmonaco, a lifelong resident of Hingham, passed away on November 6, 2019 with her family by her side. She was 91.

She was known as Judy to her friends and family.  Judy was the beloved daughter of Rocco V. and Carmela G. (Menento) Falletti late of Hingham. She had six sisters and four brothers that grew up on a farm in Hingham amongst other Italians that settled from the same village, Reggio di Calabria in Italy.  She leaves behind her sister Rosemary and brother Lou.

She was married to the love of her life, Joseph W. Delmonaco who passed in 1992. She was the mother of Donna M. (Delmonaco) Reis and her husband Roger, and Joseph W. Delmonaco, Jr and his wife Mary. She leaves her cherished granddaughter Jennie M. Reis, named after her of Hingham along with her fur great-grandchild and loyal companion, Gracie, the only animal ever allowed in the home; her grandsons Joseph M. Reis of California, Anthony J. Delmonaco of Vermont, Bryce R. Delmonaco of Hingham, and her granddaughter Angelina E. Delmonaco of Ohio.

She built her own house with her husband and raised her children on the land of her parents with her sisters and brother. Judy was a gift to her family and the world. She was loved for being a peacekeeper and gentle soul. Judy was a wonderful cook who made great meals and Italian pastries taught to her by her mother. She took great pride in her family and her home, often seen outside working in the yard. She had a wonderful sense of humor which will be very missed.

She had many cousins who have passed and some still living in the neighborhood. She has many nieces and nephews who will miss their Aunt Judy.  Everyone loved their “Aunt Judy.” She was always there for everyone, whenever something was needed.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday from 2-6 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. Services at 8 AM on Monday from the funeral home, prior to the Funeral Mass at Holy Family Parish, 403 Union St., Rockland at 9 o’clock.
