Jean O’Malley (Keohan) of Hingham, died November 26, 2017 at the age of 88.

Jean worked as an art teacher for the Cohasset School system for over 30 years. She earned her Masters degree from Tufts and was a graduate of MA College of Art. A talented artist, Jean painted and was involved in several local art associations. She was also active in showing and breeding both Collies and Long Haired Dachsunds.

She was the wife of the late Anthony R. O’Malley. Loving mother of Michael O’Malley, Esq. and wife Kathleen of Duxbury, Peter O’Malley and wife Lise of Basking Ridge, NJ, Susan Stephens of Hanson, and Kathryn Murphy and husband Kenneth of Pembroke. Sister of Dr. John F. Keohan and wife Marilyn of Hingham, Peter A. Keohan and wife Mary of Weymouth, and the late Richard Keohan and wife Alice of Braintree, the late Rev. Edward M. Keohan, and the late Mary Louise Bicknell. Also survived by 17 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Family Church, Duxbury at 10 AM. Burial in Mayflower Cemetery, Duxbury.
