Jason G. MacKean

MacKean, Jason G., a lifelong resident of Weymouth, died July 28, 2015 after battling addiction at the age of 22.

Jason was a 2011 graduate of Weymouth High School. He worked as a barber at Roy’s Barber Shop in Holbrook, for the past 18 months. He was talented and passionate about his work. He enjoyed following Boston sports teams, and was a talented baseball player himself playing many years in the Town of Weymouth. He enjoyed coaching his younger cousin Noah’s Weymouth Youth Soccer team. He was also very artistic and a complete gentleman in every way. People were naturally drawn to Jason’s  kind and welcoming personality. The most important thing to Jason was spending time with his family and friends.

He was the cherished son of Stacey J. Hack and her husband Terence and Scott S. MacKean and his wife Jacqueline, all of Weymouth. Loving grandson of Harry and Dorrie Jones of Weymouth and Bob and Linda MacKean of FL. Loving brother of Colin, Brandon and Keren Hack, all of Weymouth, Dan McClain and wife Sue of Marshfield, and Nicholas Seaver of Rockland. Dear nephew of Kristen Clark, Chip Jones, both of Weymouth, and Amy MacKean of FL. Proud Godfather of Douglas Jones. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 AM in Bethany Congregational Church, Quincy. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
