James M. “Shorty” Greene

James M. “Shorty”  Greene of Quincy, died December 1, 2018.

The beloved husband of the late Mary (Zdankowski) Greene. Loving father of the late Linda Seidenspinner and her husband Scott Seidenspinner of Quincy and the late Donald McEachern and his wife Roberta McEachern of Dorchester. Brother of Helen Curran of Dorchester and the late John and Thomas Greene and Mary Reinhalter. Cherished grandfather of Nicole Mayo of Dorchester, Tristen Houlihan of Quincy and Nicholas Mastrogiacomo of Pembroke. Great Grandfather of Conor, Hailey, Aiden, Timothy, Christopher and Gregory. Jim is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A proud Korean War Army veteran, Jim worked as a DPW foreman for the City of Boston for more than 35 years. He enjoyed Castle Island in South Boston and was a big fan of the Boston Bruins. The foundation of his life was his family, they were truly what was most important to him, he will be sadly missed.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM.

Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
